Central North

Thursday: Southwest winds 5/15 knots becoming variable during the morning, then east to northeast and gradually increasing to be 15/25 knots during the evening, locally 30 knots in the west.<p>Friday: East to northeast winds 15/25 knots, 30 knots in the west, tending northerly during the early morning at 10/20 knots then west to northwest late morning then increasing to 15/25 knots in the evening, locally 30 knots offshore.  Sea: Up to 2.5 m  Swell: Up to 1.5 m

Central West

Thursday: Westerly winds 5/15 knots, locally 20 knots in the south at first, becoming variable during the morning, then tending northeasterly and increasing to 10/20 knots, reaching 20/30 knots offshore in the north late evening.<p>Friday: Northeast winds 10/20 knots, 20/30 knots in the north during the morning, tending north to northwest in the afternoon at mostly 15/20 knots.  Sea: Up to 3.0 m  Swell: Up to 3.0 m

Derwent Estuary

Northwest winds 10/15 knots, easing a little in the midday before southeasterly seabreezes at 10/15 knots develop in the afternoon. Winds tending north to northeast 5/15 knots overnight and tomorrow, shifting southwest to northwest 5/15 knots tomorrow afternoon.    

Far Northwest

Thursday: Southwest winds 5/15 knots tending northeast during the morning then gradually increasing to 20/30 knots by evening.<p>Friday: Northeast winds 20/30 knots, possibly 35 knots at first locally, easing to 15/25 knots and tending northwest during the morning then reaching 30 knots locally from mid-afternoon. Winds tending more westerly in the evening.  Sea: Up to 4.0 m  Swell: Up to 3.0 m

Hobart Waters

For adjacent southeastern coastal waters. Northwest winds 10/15 knots, easing in the midday before southeasterly seabreezes at 10/15 knots develop in the afternoon. Winds tending north to northeast 10/20 knots overnight, then 15/25 knots tomorrow morning before shifting southwest to northwest 5/15 knots tomorrow afternoon.    

Inland Waters

Thursday: Westerly winds 5/15 knots, tending variable to 10 knots during the afternoon and northeast at 5/15 knots in the evening.<p>Friday: Chiefly northeast winds 5/15 knots tending northwest in the afternoon.    

Lower East

Thursday: West to southwest winds 10/20 knots easing to 5/15 knots by the afternoon and tending variable. Winds tending northeast during the late afternoon and evening at 10/20 knots, 25 knots offshore.<p>Friday: North to northeast winds 15/25 knots, locally 30 knots offshore late morning easing and becoming variable 5/15 knots in the afternoon then tending northwest in the evening.  Sea: Up to 2.5 m  Swell: Up to 1.5 m

Northeast

Thursday: Variable winds to 15 knots during the morning. Winds tending north to northeast at 5/15 knots in the afternoon and increasing to 15/25 knots in the evening.<p>Friday: North to northeast winds increasing to 20/30 knots early then tending northwest around midday at 10/20 knots, locally 25 knots in the evening.  Sea: Up to 3.0 m  Swell: Up to 1.0 m

Southeast

Thursday: Westerly winds 10/20 knots, locally 25 knots offshore at first, easing and becoming variable 5/15 knots late afternoon and evening. Winds tending east to northeast at 10/20 knots late evening.<p>Friday: North to northeast winds 15/20 knots, 25/30 knots offshore during the morning and around the middle of the day before easing to be variable 5/15 knots in the evening.  Sea: Up to 3.0 m  Swell: Up to 2.5 m

Southwest

Thursday: Westerly winds 10/20 knots, 25 knots locally at first, easing to 5/15 knots in the afternoon then tending easterly in the evening and increasing to 10/20 knots.<p>Friday: Northeast winds 10/20 knots tending north to northwest from late afternoon and reaching 25 knots in the west in the evening.  Sea: Up to 2.0 m  Swell: Up to 2.5 m
