Police have told a coronial inquest they did not conduct a risk assessment when they took Kwementyaye Trigger into custody.Two NT Police constables have told an inquest they are embarrassed by the way they treated a man who later died in custody.

While it is inevitable that it will take time to reverse the historic and often entrenched disparity between the socio-economic position of Indigenous people and all other Australians, the amount of money that has gone into the intervention is certainly not having a visible impact.
